1.The Origin of Nonwovens:
Nonwoven technology arose in modern times, but the bionic principle of this technology can be traced back thousands of years to ancient China .
Archaeologists have confirmed that wild silkworms were domesticated in China as far back as 7,000 years ago to make silk for decoration and clothing. The cocoons our ancestors used to draw silk are the principle of today's spunbond nonwovens.
Ancient nomads made felt by adding animal hair to water, urine or milk essence through mechanical action such as foot treading and batting.
2.The Development of Nonwovens:
The industrial production of non-woven fabric in the modern sense began to appear in 1878. The real modern production of nonwovens industry only began after the second World War, with the end of the war, the demand for all kinds of textiles is increasing.
Under such circumstances, nonwovens have developed rapidly and have gone through four stages:
(1)The embryonic period, is in the early 1940s -- 1950s, most of the textile enterprises use ready-made prevention equipment, appropriate transformation, the use of natural fiber manufacturing nonwoven materials.
(2)The commercial production period, is the end of the 1950s - the end of the 1960s, at this time the main use of dry technology and wet technology, the use of a large number of chemical fibers to manufacture nonwoven materials.
(3)The important development period, the early 1970s -- the end of the 1980s, at this time the polymerization, extrusion method of complete set of production lines was born.
The rapid development of various special nonwoven fiber chemical fibers, such as low melting point fiber, hot bonding fiber, two-component fiber, ultrafine fiber, has promoted the progress of nonwoven material industry.
This is a new industry based on the cooperation of petrochemical, plastic chemical, fine chemical, paper industry and textile industry, known as the sunrise industry in the textile industry ", its products have been widely used in various sectors of the national economy.
On the basis of the continuous rapid growth of nonwovens output, nonwovens technology has made a lot of substantial progress at the same time, attracting worldwide attention, nonwovens production area is also rapidly expanding.
(4)The global development period, from the early 1990s to now, nonwovens have achieved rapid development.
Through the technical innovation of equipment, product structure optimization, intelligent equipment, market brand, etc., the nonwoven technology is more advanced, mature, more sophisticated equipment, nonwoven materials and products performance significantly improved, production capacity and product series continue to expand, new products, new technologies, new applications in an endless stream.
During this period, the technology of spinning mesh and melt-blown nonwovens has been rapidly popularized and applied in production, and machinery manufacturers have launched complete sets of spinning mesh and melt-blown nonwovens production lines to the market.
Dry nonwovens also made important progress in this period, spunlaced nonwovens were put into commercial production, foam impregnation bonding, hot rolling bonding and other technologies were popularized and applied.
